Dude..... Really? Like, Lucas and the rest of the guys on here say they can barely ride the 1000 because it is so damn powerful..... And I've seen the way you ride and you really think your going to man handle a 1150? I just feel like it's going to be too much power for you and your half assing the set up.... You don't think you'd be fine on a 850 so you can ride the motor to it's full potential? I'm not hating on ya Nolan I'm just trying so figure out why you'd get such a gnarly motor that will be a handful and a half to ride......Not to mention your really only half way there.... Your gonna need Atleast another 4-5 grand to make the set up perfect....

If you do get it tho.... I'm jealous and I hate you :)

I think it would be a better idea to get a mag pump now and work on your skills for another year or two. I think if you get an 1100 now, it will hurt your riding more than it will help.

Agrre. Jumping from e.g a ported 760 to a 1105cc its way too much - if you ride all day and everyday then it is ok, but go and get yourself something like a 900cc first. Learn to use the full potential of a 900cc and move on.. my .02....

I bet you can get my complete 850 with my 144 mag pump and maybe even my total loss ignition for the same or less than you would pay for that 1150. Just guessing though. Good luck whatever you decide.

my main reason for wanting this engine is i want to be able to do flips or anything i want.. i know it will be alot of power but its like any other thing iv ridden, just give your self time and you will get used to it.. i was looking at dogs 850 but will that do the job for me?? thanks for your advise and opinions guys

What hull is it going in? It backflipped an 80 pound BOB without trim and with power to spare and I had NO SKILLS to begin with as far as backflips go. I have problems getting my setup wake right and I've never even backflipped in the surf. I had plenty of riding skills but none in the backflip area. When I got this setup I knew it was capable and that forced me to grow some balls and start trying.

You shouldn't need a crazy 1100 motor to bf that. You need practice.
I hope to be flipping my SF with a 765, and I think that's realistic.

None of my business and no need to answer this, but...... Aren't you only 16ish?
Where are you getting this money? Are you sure it's a wise choice to dump an entire year's college tuition (at least) into essentially backflips?

He had a nice motor already that I'm assuming is sold, so it's not like he is laying down the full price out of his college fund. Give him a break. We all spend too much on our ski addiction. We all scheme and upgrade or do projects over the winter. We all want more power. Money spends the same no matter how old you are. When I was sixteen I was laying cash down on a sweet $1300 js300 that I rode the piss out of. I wanted a 650 so bad but I couldn't afford it. Looking back that $1300 was well spent even though I only made about $150 a week at Kroger in the produce departmant.

Do what you wish, but I think that it would be in extremely poor judgment to get a loan at your age and for a toy.
Practice riding instead of getting yourself into debt.
