will this work? 701 w/6mm crank?

I recently got a 6mm rad crank that was set up in 62tcases with 62t cylinders. So I posted up and found I need to run an x cylinder for the port timing. While Im getting the new cylinders set up and because I have another complete spare stock 61x motor,can I run those stock cylinders on those cases with that crank? I have enough parts and gaskets to try this, just not sure if it will work out.

Im kinda broke so Ill have to wait to get my cylinders set up for 85mm pistons. Is it gonna make some good brap or am I wasting my time?

I finally cut my ride plate and gonna go test that out tomorrow. I was thinking about sticking this motor set up in when I get back and get it ready to test monday.

That crank won't work with stock parts. Ask your builder what parts you should get with a stroker crank. Port timing is going to be altered on a 6mm crank so 62t vs 61x goes out the window. There are a ton of ways to make a stroker work with stock jugs. For example you can have 2.5mm recessed domes on a 5mm stroker crank with a 62t cylinder and have decent port timing comparable to a 61x. You could run a 2.5mm base spacer plate on a 61x and get 62t timing on a stoker. On a stock stroke you could cut a 62 t cylinder down and run a recessed head to get 61x timing. The 61x cylinder is only better in stock form for it's timing and with a stroker much of it goes out the window. Save your money for the finished motor and rock the strocker. Your gonna end up with blown motor doing the stroker crap yourself. Sell your extra parts and buy more gas.

yeah the case are cleared, I have a complete 62t 6mm engine,also have a spare 61x complete engine besides my stock 701 in my ski now, just really want to try the crank out.

No I found one of the pistons which looked new and barely ran, had part of the exhaust skirt broke off, and since yall recommended getting my X cylinders cut to run 85mm pistons I really dont want to buy one 84mm piston.

Basically Im really confused. I got these two big boxes of parts that contained 2 engines for free from my boss and now I need to figure out what to sell to fund the stroker build. :Flush: Ive got everything except the hulls and handpole to build two extra skis.

just send those boxes over here so i can stuff yamaha power into my x-2 and then you wont have a problem figuring out what to use:wave:
