So far, it looks like March 14-16.

Kim and I probably won't be going to this 1 so we can go to the Texoma 1 instead.

It's hard to tell the chipmunk no when it stares up at you with those big puppy eyes and begs.

It just looks so cute! :lmao:

Im still working on a place. Peace bend would fit everyone but its sooooo far away from all the big yatchs. Im looking into this park at arkansa bend. Its plenty big to fit everyone and its only a 2 minute ride to devils cove where all the big boats are. I will keep yall posted

C2: Arkansas Bend is about 3 miles to the Cove on the water
D3: Sandy Creek is right near Trails End but is 4 miles on the water to the Cove
D4: Cypress Creek is near but has a LONG NO WAKE ZONE if I recall at least 1/2 mile

ok where is devil's cove on the map?? and or the place we stayed at last year.
Just so we are not near D5!!!!
Whats up with Lake travis anyway? Its not round:grumble:

Here is the map of Travis. Mud Cove is the location of last Lake Travis ride. Others are labeled along with Devils Cove

Edit: D4 and D3 I have always launched from a boat ramp not the shore like on Mudd Cove. I am not sure if you can launch from the shore on those two

Yup, Travis is just a bloated river. I agree, it would be nice to be around the big boats, but it's hard to beat (impossible?) the Pace Bend setup. Summer brings em down there, just not as frequently.

Yeah Cypress Creek's no wake zone is a 5-10 idle ride out to where you can ride but it's the closest public ramp to town. Smallish parking lot fills up quick there. If you have friends that keep their boats at Cypress Creek Marina or Anderson Mill Marina you can cut this to a couple minutes as they're further out.

As always, legal up on your stuff when visiting Lake Travy. LT popo don't mess around, seriously. Did you guys hear about Cedric Benson's trouble with them this weekend?

While I usually don't take the side of professional atheletes (and as a Red Raider cannot stand UT), I have met Cedric and he came across as a down to earth good guy.

Who knows how it really went down. I can just say from experience, you don't want to get pulled over on Lake Travis. They will, run tags, check license and registration, check sobriety, check for uscg approved vests, whistle etc etc etc. Never had anyone get just one ticket out there, if they find one thing, they'll find more. It's kind of like the Lays potato chip commercial with a twist. Betcha you won't get just one (ticket).

Be safe and watch for the drunks leaving the lakeside bars.

Come ride Lake Austin with us some time. Closer to town, Lake Austin police are nice, even helpful. Only downside is the water is COLD coming out the bottom of the Lake Travis dam. Then again, it's supposed to be 97 Friday and Saturday.

We put in at Mary Quinlan park. Will try and post next time me and buddy hit it there.
