Will any wire brand work??

got a rusted ground cable i pulled off an old 440 to ground my TL system. Can I go to like Home Depot and find the same gauge wire and add some terminals to it and be good?

then of course soder, and shrink the ends with the terminals. i also like to smother the ends with DOW 111.

I usually go to TSC or any autoparts store that sells replacement battery cables and pick up a length of the same guage wire. I like to use the tin coated solder type lugs that I get at Boaters World. Cut it to length and solder them on and use heat shrink to seal it up. You can use the copper lugs, but they will corrode alot faster.
