Freestyle Why so big carbs???

Vumad, you are on to something, but a little confused, I think. If you measured the ACTUAL torque output at the wheels of a car, it would be a mind boggling figure. A sports car might have 4500+ft/lbs, or something of that order. This is a result of the gearing that puts the motor at a huge mechanical advantage over the wheels.

BUT

Whenever you see a wheeled vehicle on a chassis dynamometer and the output of that same sports car is, say, 450ft/lbs, the dyno's computer has already been doing the math to convert that massive measured figure back to a calculated estimation of the motor's actual output before all the reduction gearing.
