The world finals just does not have enough to offer these riders. I am in no way bashing the management, because it's not their fault, but it's just the direction the event has been going.

If ESPN or another large network covered the event and the IJSBA could provide a huge cash payout, then everyone would attend. The purse for first place barely is enough to cover the cost of a room in havasu for a week, let alone shipping a couple ski's and equipment, flights for everyone, time off work, car rental, etc., etc.

It is hard to run accross the border with a jet ski.

the real reason they do not attend currently is the this is the boys second year in competition and the girl is already the womens freestyle champ in umi .the event for womens was held in august in monaco ,france . There father is very protective over them and really wants better for them then to compete in jetski he would rather that they work hard in there education to follow him to run there empire .the boy would get top 4 for sure and he never trains and rides for fun once in a while if he trained he would be unbelievable . the girl is really good but it is hard to compete with the guys .
