Super Jet why are my brand new reed petals not sitting flat?

have some brand new fiber glass petals and i cannot get them to all sit flat and seal completely the is still a little gap on the ends that i can see light through. anyone have a solution? am i not doing something right
?

try flipping the petals over on the reed cage.

even though the little notched in the corners wont line up?

Check to make sure the rubber on the reed cages isn't starting to blister and lift up.

i think something is going on with the cages maybe the rubber because i can set them on there and they sit fine but when i push down where they mount i can see have of it lift up and the other half doesn't.
