LOL aren't we always?

Anyways, I'm excited that a local friend has a BOB Gen2 because I can't wait to try it out. More variety is a great thing.
Now thats what i'm talking about ! "variety is the spice of life" as i would love to kick my feet into a freak, and im sure i will at some point.i just think its cool that we have choices ,and opinions are personal preference.comparisons can be brand bias.

I don't have to drive a Ferrari to know it's the sh!7 same with the lw. I also know I can't afford any o them. But lets just think here what's a 5000 hull that needs rebuilding and/or replacing every few years to a 10000 hull that last a lifetime? It all depends on the individual same as any market. If your really serious about riding and plan to for a long time the lw is cheaper. It's all in how you look at it folks.

Ha! Im glad yalls buttholes are bleedin and not mine, I've learned I dont need to flatwater backflip and I havent heard one bad thing about a Jetworks, Zforce, or Jetmaniac engine so in the future i'll be dropping some extra coin in my engine instead of an a/m hull and just keep rockin superjets, B1s, and fx1s. I've heard more bad than good about these a/m hulls, so as they say on sharktank, for that reason im out! BTW Kenny, please enlighten us on the situation, lol.

Thanks 98. And there's still
Nothing wrong with a square. lots of hatters these days all around.
I know I can spend a couple grand and still have fun vs. Not riding at all or dropping mucho coin to backflip.
I don't have that much to go around so I'm spending my bulk on something that appreciates :)

Hate if you must, I'm ok with it
This is .25 mile from my porch

And a disclaimer: that is not me rolling in the pic. Cost extra to find out :)

I understand a BOB is a lower end hull and the price dictates that. However I'm still quite impressed with finish of my g3 for the price I paid.

I hate the saying you get what you pay for because that's not always the case.

I've never understood how the freak can be priced so high and the fit and finish be so crappy. If the ski clinic produced a hull looking like that, you guys would run them off the site
Your g3 def looks awesome did you ever get a weight ?

my rickter xfr with hood, clips, pole bracket, turf, as they come... 121lbs. not the lightest. 9 month weight too. (and thats jumping threw hoops to get it then). i hear there down to 6 months now. quality awesome, fitment great. i looked at xj's new gen3....pretty impressive. ski clinic calls almost everyday with reports on how the hull is coming and what stage its at with pictures. i think it weighed around 70ishhh pounds with hood. i havent got to ride it yet and i have never owned a bob but we intend to do a good comparison between the two. we got to ride chris's $43000.00 trinity. quality was very good as well unsure of weight. The biggest thing in going with an aftermarket hull is to have a really good connection with the builder or the owner, get a taste of there customer service and go from there. If you can get a chance to ride one the weight might not be an issue. Rickters are heavy but when your riding them they feel light and throw around very easy. The trinity has got to be alot lighter then my rickter and i had a hard time throwing the matrix around. I love my Rickter and my dealer was great but Rickter itself was very stubborn to deal with. i was blown away with how the ski clinic treated xj. hopefully xj will post a weight of his bob to confirm but i do know you can get them as heavy as you want and as light as you want.

I have one of the "extreme surf hulls" and yea it weighs 130 lbs. But after riding all winter in big cold surf and beating the piss out of it there are no stress cracks, and I've been able to flatwater flip it with a 4 mil stroked 760. I will compromise weight for strength because this hull was my affordable choice. Now after riding that 140 lbs Bob that is for sale when it had the new Powerhouse 885 billet powervalve motor in it I can tell you I'll glady keep my sherman tank hull and drop one of those motors in there and rip flatwater flips and surfride the hell outta my ski with no worries!

Just my 2 cents.....

I posted all of the weights on our website, but I'm in the middle of the desert on vacation on my phone, so I can't post the link but here's a simple break down:

We can build hulls to whatever lay up fits your riding style. My G3 hull was about 50lbs, and we've built surf hulls up to 130ish pounds to keep them strong. We build hulls to fit your riding style. But an average standard production hull that we make is about 70-80 pounds for the hull and hood.
Another thing people seem to be forgetting is our budget hulls comps with tons of other stuff that the big money hills don't come with - turf, graphics, hood seal, pump shoe, ride plate, gas tank pods and more.

If you guys want to see a complete break down on our weights, on thebobhull.com, click on the FAQ page and go to the bottom. We listed weights of every single part used to build a RTR BoB and we've always been on point with our RTR units.
