best rates are via UPS when you ship from business, so if you work at a company, get to know your shipping dept and UPS guy.

I can ship 70 pounds insured for 1,000 dollars for about 30-35 bucks. (crated engine)

Businesses (small or big) get good discounts, talk to your friends.

Greyhound is the cheapest I've found for fairly large parts. The disadvantage is that you have to find the nearest terminal for you and the buyer.

I'll bet Greyhound is the cheapest...

The disadvantage isn't finding the terminal---it's finding the time to GO to the terminal and deal with the Greyhound staff/customers. :1244:

DHL all the way. UPS takes way to long.

I go to DHL every day for my work and I heard it from my little girlie at the counter that they don't even have ground. It all goes air. It's just that if you pay for air it goes right away. If you pay for ground it may take a day to go air but it still goes air.

DHL/Airborne express are the same thing now. They rock!

I vowed never to use them again.
