So I thought my battery was just toast since i left it on the charger for days and still got nothing but a very weak crank from it ( back in September ) it's sat since and I went to buy a battery but tested mine for the hell of it and it tested fully charged and good ( 2 year old deka glass mat ). Also tried jump starting off my car and no change , just a click from the relay and now and then a slow turn over for a split second. I how now replaced the ground from battery to a starter mount bolt so the ground cable is new. I filed every connection point and all eye ends on the positives. Even filed clean the 5 grounds in the e box because there was some corrosion in there from salt water. Since the relay clicks and only spits sparks when I lay metal across the two terminals on the relay, I would say the relay is fine no? I'm my experience , a bad relay doesn't make a click noise when pushing the start button but the ski will turn over when you jump the two relay terminals. I am led to believe that one of the two positive cables must be broken inside. I did trim them back a couple inches and crimp new eye ends on them. Didnt help. I have ordered a cable set from jet ski solutions but just in case this doesn't fix the problem when I install those... Anything else that can possibly be wrong here? Because if this doesn't fix, then I'm stumped and I'm currently missing the best time of riding season around here... I did order a new relay as well just in case .. But if it's not cables nor the relay, anything else crazy it could be? The starter is fine. It's new and I can turn it by the spline end of it. Any guro knowledge is greatly appreciated! Thanks guys

That's a bummer; I've rebuilt my starter because the brushes were toast and not even a year later the brushes were worn away to nothing again and the starter was just in bad shape so I tossed it and got nice clean looking used oem one from a couch and it worked great and was only used the last time i rode in September in the ocean. A whole 2 days of riding... And on day 2 was when my turn over got weak. Too weak to make the ski fire up. Thank you. I will crack open the starter and see how it looks

You can apply battery power from a good battery or jump box directly to the starter to test it. If it won't spin with 12v from a jump box, it's toast. Be sure it's grounded properly to test.

Ok thanks will do. It's not hard to tell if the starter is bad by looking either. The brushes show all. Rebuild kits are super cheap and work great :) and ya I always get a little water past my stator cover and i don't know why... It pisses me off and it is screwing up my starters I just didnt think one weekend would do it. The stator cover has a brand new gasket. I've also tried rvt laid on thick instead of a gasket to see if that sealed better and nope... Do they all leak like that? My flywheel and stator are always wet and goey with a charcoal film on them all nasty in there. I keep cleaning it
