I need to paint my ski. Anyone got any contacts or info. I am looking for enough paint for a couple of ski's. The color will be a camo style in metalics. Not really concerned with the brand.
Show me what ya got.
Thanks M

The guys at Kirker just sent me some samples, actually the sent me two pints of spectra series candy, which is like HOK along with a pint of base color and two pints of urethane base and the reducer for both paints,a pint of clear and reducer for it for free so I could try it out.I shot some of the Spectra the other day and it shot beautifully and laid down slick as glass,it almost looked like it was cleared it laid down so smooth. It appears to be less than half the cost of HOK.Do a google search and contact them, they will direct you to the nearest dealer.

Do like I did and contact Kirker, tell them you do custom paint jobs and are interested in their products specifically the Spectra series. The Kirker paint rep got in touch with me and offered to send me the samples,I was expecting 1/4 to 1/2 pint samples instead they shipped out full pints of paint. They sent me all this stuff for free so I could try it out,I have well over enough paint to paint my ski with,of course I will be buying from them in the future their stuff is awesome and the price is awesome also. The Spectra is candy like HOK it can all be mixed together for different colors and sprayed over any of their urethane base colors also or you can mix clear in with it.Very simple and versitile system.I will post a pic of a piece I sprayed later today.

Whats wrong with your local PPG dealer and some good cheap Omni (PPG's cheaper line)car paint? I'd go for the Omni MTK(polyurethane enamel) instead of the acrylic enamel Omni, it will be more durable.
Many here have used that paint on their ski's with no problems.

How much altogether for enough paint for a ski? How much you need to buy? (different color bottom/topdeck, and another color painting part of the nose)

Here is a pic of a piece that I did a test shot on last week, keep im mind that I just scuffed it and shot it and that this is just a test piece. In paint work prep is pretty much everything IMO.Whoever shot it before me didn't even sand the part that why the paint is chipping off.
