Just buy the tried and true SJ... You KNOW its the best choice. The only reason you want the Octain is cause its diff... Get a SuperJet and make IT different and your own!

and how much do you have into your Octane? not saying they arent awsome just maybe not practical
one is bone stock.

the other has 48mm Novis and some Watcon work.

Both will make your toes curl.

you dont have to take my word for it. you can ask ANY of the CFL guys about my skis, Slutty, Idok, Butti, Ewok, etc. they will tell you whats up.

That's pretty much what I was trying to get at. I know sxi4vr loves to mod ski's just like I do. You have a RN pole and trim on a 750. You ported your motor using racelogic templates. How happy are you going to be with a ski that you can't get parts for? It's not going to be $50 here, $100 there... It's going to be $$$ for brand new parts with a continueing battle trying to get companies to make parts for a ski that is no longer made and was never popular.

Also keep in mind if something wierd does happen, not many people are going to be able to offer advice because not many people know those ski's.

my star boat has tubbies and I just added a waterdawg -4 pole with short TP.

I swapped skis with an SJ (stock) rider for a bit and the only thing I thought was TURD. I wanted my Octane back.

ur being unreasanable, Octains are sweet, everybody knows it... But if you really think about it. I dont want one. Id be a stupid mistake for me

the only thing unreasonable here is your inability to spell.

I think I'll take my advice about Octanes from someone that can actually SPELL Octane. :scratchchin:

Well good job you picked a fight and I guess you won.. by pointing out a typo. You feel big now? And it IS unreasanable to not admit that an SJ is a better buy because they ARE more available, there ARE more people to offer support, there ARE more parts available. Even if the Octane was far superior, it would still be something to think about.

Ive got about $9000 in my SJ and Ive got a new pump with custom prop to match my 798cc Custom built motor to MY riding style, Carbon hood, custom Alum pole ect.... Just about all Id ever want. and TONS of people on here that can help me with anything. Maybe $3000 for the octane wouldnt be so bad after adding up my ski at 9 grand but its custom to me and all new and the way I want it... IDK

so it cost you 9 grand to try and make an SJ equal to a stock Octane, and you still arent there. Good call on that SJ. LMFAO!

with that same 9k I bought two Octanes (one stock, one built) and a Galv 2 place trailer. If I need parts, I call Watcon or John Zigler. So..tell me again how I am being impractical?
