it all depends on what you want from the boat. free ride wave jumper b pipe. flatwater speed demon dry pipe (speedwerx, factory high rev, etc.)

cheapie protec pipe or riva pipe

i personally like dry pipes better if you can get one the gp 760 dry pipe will fit with minor mods and has great bottom end and some good top and it is pretty indestructible for wave jumping, i use this one on my backup race/ocean play boat.

I am running a blaster1 factory mod pipe... i used t run the bpipe...

I'm running a stock 701 w/ a Limited B pipe. Seems to work fine. Probably not done with tuning the head pipe but I like the option of tuning and switching to the mod chamber down the road.

I think I remember that a certain kawi pipe from factory works the best for the B1's and fits in quite well. Cant remember where I read that though.

Lee,

What is the "factory high rev" pipe? Is that the factory dry pipe?

it is a fpp octane chamber with yamaha dry manifold, it is really good for the lamey pv cylinders. it clears them the best. it needs water injection but it will rev to 8000 if your motor will.

there are very few of these around, factory made it but never advertised it.

Gotcha. What do you think of the Factory Dry Pipe that they advertise. I know it's not great for freeriding, but how is it for racing?

nope just dent it for the pv's otherwise it fits fine. i would suggest the 760 waterbox in the back unless you want crazy plumbing. this was built by factory for the blaster so it fits without work.

if your not building the motor for it, i would use something else. it is mainly for high hp motors. it might work on a stock motor but why spend the money when the b works so well.

if you want the best pipe, the r&d dry for the sj is it, you just have to do some serious modding.

i still want to use that pipe, but the labor is gonna be high to cut the manifold and all.

Yeah I'm happy with my b-pipe on my blaster right now, but I'm just trying to learn all that I can about building a good race boat.

After I commission in the Air Force and I'm not a poor college student I'm going to look to build a race boat. I want to race the sport class while it's still around. Thanks for keeping it alive.

Sorry for the thread hijacking. Two thumbs up for the b-pipe in a blaster.
