Which llines to get?

Always just this close
Hey all, Ive been wanting to get clear gas lines and also clear cooling lines.

Where do i Get this stuff? What lines should I stay away from?

Also, what is the term "jetting" when refering to carbs? Is this just the screws on each side of the carb?
(sorry have to ask a newb question or two every now and then)

Thanks all

Any hot products dealer can get clear fuel line for you. You can usually find it on line as well. The clear water lines are at Lowes (the braided looking stuff).

tygon for the fuel lines get a size smaller and you won't even have to use zip ties. just don't use it on the pulse line.

i use the braided clear line for the cooling and yet have had a problem. i know fly used some on his ski and had a clog which heated the water up quite a bit and melted the hoses. but i havn't had a problem yet.

The jets are basically screws with holes in them that you change out to adjust the amount of fuel being delivered to the motor. You can buy jets with small holes all the way up to jets with large holes. They are inside the carb.

hmmm??? I use 1/4" Tygon for all of my fuel lines and pulse. I also use the same 3/8" tubing for my cooling... have not had any problems..

not the greatest picture, but you can see the lines..

is there an issue w/ using the Tygons on pulse lines???

I also use Tygon but I am now trying PVC tubing I have noticed that the tygon shrinks and hardens a little over a year or so and discolors so I purchased a roll of PVC from McMaster Carr to give it a try it is suppose to stay flexible with fuels we will see. Part number 5187K62.

I've had good luck with tygon also. I have noticed a slight discoloration, but it imo it doesn't look bad unless you put a fresh piece next to it. Also, I didn't undersize my lines and they work fine although I am using zip ties to hold them on. I haven't heard of any other translucent line for fuel that gets good reviews in the long run.
