I just picked up a Blaster B1 and it came with a Jetlogic lanyard. The coiled part of the lanyard cable is stretched to the absolute maximum when I try to board from the rear of the blaster. Many times, if I'm in rough water the coiled part isn't long enough and it pops off the start/stop switch just from moving around in the waves.
Plus, the actual coiled part is starting to wear, and I'm concerned that if I do fall off, the cord might tear rather than trigger the kill switch.
It is time for a replacement coil cord. I looked on eBay, but it came back with 8,000+ lanyards.
By the way, I'm not local to any real boating supply stores, the closest is at least 45 minutes away, I'll order from the net before I drive that far.
I'd like to buy the coil cord locally, but I haven't thought of an application or a store that would have coil cords. I talked with a few people in crafts, sporting goods, hardware at walmart, and nobody could think of something that would work properly.
The coil cord is more than just coiled plastic, it has something like nylon rope inside the rubber/plastic jacket for reinforcement.
Any ideas?
