Whats wrong with using come silicon sealant or if you really want to seal it and not remove the fitting use some 5200.

i never seal my thru hull fittings.

The problem is where I put the thru hull.

You can barely see where I drilled the hole. the white dot in front of the left rail.

Well I measured once an drilled once. The flange on the thru hull doesnt sit flush. maby 1/16 high on one side. So If I put a nice gasket under it. It would be fixed.

Is that the JD Short or Long rideplate? I'm running the short and I am very happy with it when it's not tearing up my shin. :banghead: :biggrin:

i'd use epoxy or 5200. something strong and permanent. you don't want it to leak into the hull.

I Need something to go on the outside of th hull under the flange of the thru hull.

Ill head to my grandpas tomorrow Im sure he has the material, and the tools to make it purrrrfect.urr:

goto homedepot. they have these rubber sheets that are thin. i have used one to make a gasket before. they are cheap too. they are by the facets or pipe fittings i forget which

cracker go to ace and go down the isle with all the nuts/bolts/washers and get yourself some rubber washers. they are there

made them today.

Note ID make it one size smaller ie 15/16"

Note 2, Gasket cutters do not like cutting 1/8" rubber well.

But they came out good after a damn hour.
