where can i buy 1211

this is my first time doing engine work and i have read that 1211 is the preferred for sealing cases, gaskets, etc. Locally the only stuff icould find was a permatex gasket maker. Do i have to order it online?

There are a lot of equivalents out there, in fact the service manual for your sj specs one. Call around, I know Shawmut Hills in GR carries the yamaha version and I am sure other local dealerships do as well.

Actually Honda/Bond-4 or the discontinued Yama/Bond-4 is just 3-Bond number 1104 the quick dry grey stuff and the 1211 is the white stuff that takes a bit longer to cure.

1211 is better than 1104 for crankcases because it handles fuel better and has better adhering characteristics.

Ive been using Honda bond with zero problems, 1211 is better if you have it. Honda/yamabond will seal Ur stuff with no problems. if you want u can send the yamabond to me and ill use it lol.
