Whats this carb all about? BadBones mikuni

Creative RE Purchasing
I have a Mikuni Bad Bones carb that I just pulled off a 750sx that I am parting out. I was wondering is this a good carb, is it a hard to find item (as I have not seen any for sale)? Would this carb be good for a single carb setup on a set of 61x cases? Or 62T cases setup for freestyle? Just wondering if I should keep it for a future project or sell it now. I will take pictures later.

To this day, when I hear "Bad Bones" I see Jeff "Poison" Prieur :)

If that carb is a round-body, sell it!

BTW: Bad Bones made carbs called "Magnum Jet"...a pair of them for 550/650's retailed for $1,000 (with O.P filters)

Yes, their Magnum Jet carbs worked great, a friend had one on his mod 750 and it ripped, but sucked down the gas too.

It looks like you should be able to get it to work well. It looks to still use the std 4 bolt top design that will help keep the airflow speed up for a freestyle set-up. They did good work, their race boats ran well. But get 62t cases and a single intake to use on the 62t cases, junk out the 61x cases as they are to hard to keep the jetting working with that downdraft design.

Yes...mainly with a lot of compression motors, (thats how you make freestyle motors work with proper ports) 62t motors are WAY better with jetting when having a lot of compression! Tell me your background??? How many 61x and 62t motors have you built and tuned with using lets say 12:1 going all the way up to 18:1 compression motors? I'm not trying to be a smart ass... But I do have lots of experience as he was asking and I gave him advice from what I have learned from even way back with building 6R7 motors (650 yamies).
