what's the weight difference SJ over FX1?

I've never rode a SJ, but I rode an FX1 this weekend and man was it light. I couldn't believe it.... Of course anything might feel light over my 1994 Kawi 750SX....

Just curious how much lighter a FX1 is over the regular superjet? Anyone know?

are you talking bare hull or the entire set up

Entire setup.... Stock to Stock comparison....

If I bought a 96 Superjet vs a FX-1..... What's the weight difference? Is there? I heard the FX-1 was lighter... Just curious the difference in weight.

The reason I ask is I have never ridden an Superjet and I am buying a 96 Superjet, and since I just rode a FX1, I was curious on what the weight difference was going to be, I am use to riding a Kawi 750.... was curious if the Superjet would heavier than the FX1 or if they are basically the same weight... anyone know?

I think a SJ is only about 25lbs heavier.... some of that is due to the bigger/much better 144 pump.

The other 20lbs is in the bigger hull of the SJ..... If you can only have one ski, SJ all the way IMO

Note: what I would guess

And the 750SX is about 25 pounds heaveir than the Superjet. But another reason the FX-1 feels so light is because it's hull is physically smaller... less stability, less drag.

But a ski that has more power feels lighter in the water.

So would the smaller pump of the FX make it feel heavyer than the SJ? Well and hes talking roundie, so the 62t vs 61x as well...

I've never been on a FX, but I bet the SJ would ride better, and feel lighter. Unless you wanted to know which would be easier to lift into the back of your truck.

strictly stock vs stock the pump size is not an issue IMO. The FX1 feels noticeably quicker and lighter.

Yeah but the FX rides like a 2x4 with an engine attached compared to the ride and stability of a SJ. I rode a 550 for years and the first time I rode a FX I had major flashbacks. I have ridden most all standup hulls and its SJ all the way for me.
