Whats the best way to seal drypipe coupler.

Need to know, took the pipe and carbs out today and the oring is broken, I was told to use hi temp silicone inside the manifold before installing the chamber where it meets the oring.

Your best bet is to get it aligned properly and mate them up as close as possible so the flange blocks most of the heat.

Slot the mounting holes if needed to get it aligned.

I used a high temp copper sealant (its the highest temp you can get). I also do not use an O-ring.

buy a B-pipe was the only way I found to fix the dry pipe. I hate them friggin things.

I know I am going to jinx myself but I have been running mine with the same coupler for 2 years. For the last year I have been riding in the surf in the northwest at least once a month and no problems yet.

Like Jett said, if your alignment is good then you should not have any problems.

Alignment does help, if you can ever get it to that point. Hate to be negative, but I think some of the pipes are simply tweaked wrong and not able to align.
