Other whats the best way to have a ski shipped?

I want to have a sj shipped to me but have a couple questions I was hoping someone could answer, prefferably someone who has shipped skis before but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Whats the best shipping company?
Is there a way to make sure they send the ski before they get the money or is there a way to get my money back if they dont send it?
whats the best way of payment?
Is there a way to make sure the shipping company picks up the ski the seller said they would send?
Is it easy to get it transferred to my name?
if anyone could go through the general process that would be awesome, cause I have no idea, Thanks!

mine came by UPS aircargo

Shanes how much did it cost to have your ski shipped? I am assuming, since you purchased it from Taylor that it came from here in California USA and went to your place in Indonesia. The reason I'm asking is a few friends and myself are toying with the idea to ship our skis from CA USA to Bali, Indonesia and then fly over, Hire a few Bemo drivers and pick up our skis and ride surf around the Island. I've been to Bali before and know the dollar travels a long way there so the biggest expense would be getting our skis over there. Also can you think of any other problems with that plan, like problems in customs or getting our asses kicked by ferral Auzzie surfers for riding our skis in Bali surf?

we had them shipped to singapore , as Indo customs can be very very expensive . so we used a freight forwarder to get it in and cleared
it was 970 USD shipped to singapore and it took 2.5 weeks from Taylor sending .

we are planing to run an event in DEC / Jan in Bali so we are talking to customs officials now to try and get a 2-3 weeks clearance for the Ski's
but they must be shipped out again .

we have a 3 SJ's here with all the mods , there will be 2-3 XFS's a FS2 and Ross Champions ski from last season all here in the next 8 weeks
so if your keen to come over for a ride we can meet you there , we send the driver and mechanic down 3 days before then fly down as it only
1 flight hour from Jakarta

the best place we have found in Bali is http://www.baliwaves.com/2011/05/kuta-reef-to-canggu-g-land-16th-may-2011/ Canggu is a river mouth
sand bar break that works most of the year , we haven't been there yet but planning a trip soon .

as for getting your are kicked thats not a problem you have to worry about , if we are there :-}}

I used Uship.com and it was really good you kinda of make a add then truckers email you and send you legit quotes. I shipped my ski from Phoenix, Arizona to Denver, Colorado (16 hour drive). The quotes were between 400$ to 600$ of course I did the 400$ quote.

I've done Uship and used UPS freight. Uship was the easiest by far. UPS freight was a bit more work, but I shipped it from dock to dock (Ga to New Jersey) for $275! I got two old refridgerator boxes and a ton of bubble wrap and packed the ski TIGHT in the boxes and wrapped them in duct tape. Went smooooooth.
