Whats a good Impeller pitch?

I gotta get a new impeller, so I thought I would try and get the one that would work best for my current set up. I have a 1990 Squarenose Superjet with a dual carbed 760 motor. It has a protec pipe and a protec rideplate. I have a scoop type intake grate.

I want a prop geared towards rec riding with good low end punch but would also like a prop that can utilize some of the high end speed a 760 apparently has. I dunno, I still have not gotten to ride it. I am bummed out.

Been working on this peice of poop for a couple months now and cavitation issues brought all that an abrupt halt for Memorial day weekend. Thanks! crappy stock impeller and thanks! destroyed pump seal you bastard...

Anyway, heres a few pics up her skirt if that helps. I dont know what model pipe I have or what function my ride plate and intake grate will serve in relation to a particular impeller so I thought pics would be best...

Remember that impeller pitch number are useful only when comparing impellers of the same brand & model. Hub diameter and blade area vary from model to model.

That said, I had good results with a Skat-Trak Freeride Swirl 13/16 impeller and also with an old school Skat-Trak 9/14.

Clean ski and clean parts, by the way.

A Skat-Trak Freeride Swirl 13/18 pitch would be a good choice with that engine/pipe combo and it would give good bottom end & top speed.

The Solas Concord 13/17 would have better mid range and still give good bottom to top performance.
