I dont completely understand how these screws work... i tried that just now.... i can hear air leaking from somewhere????

You should be able to close off all screws completely. With the overall condition of the headpipe (somewhat corroded screws, that is) it is likely that one or more are stuck in the partly open position. Put water in at the top inlet and block off the bottom outlet to build up pressure to look for seepage at the screws.

You are likely going to drill and replace either or both the bottom and middle screws. The big question is how did they do the top "bolt" that they relocated. Does thatone operate just like the screws, where you can turn it all the way in and keep water from entering the exhaust and does it linearly allow more water into the exhaust if you back it off. I don't see the location of the bolt being a problem. It's still plenty far back from the manifold (where it might allow water back into the cylinder).

gottcha....

I felt like I was playing a flute or something... lol:biggrin: even had my roommate plug a few holes in the headpipe...lol Ok well I am able to plug all internal holes except top oem on.... it still leaks so either that one is open or the bigger top one is all the way thru...

Like most have said, exhaust manifold is ok, just center it and use good washers. Limited chambers are for stock ported motors and freestyle set-ups, I use them for even all my freestyle competition ported big bores up to 860cc motors (with some special mods)(see my sig on my post, all are limited chambers!) So the thing to need to do is what Joe said, pressure check and make sure you can seal off that top bolt/screw as you don't need it to function except that it can't leak! Start out with the Factory pipe settings. Get the middle screw repaired and make sure the bottom one works as well. Start with the bottom screw 5/8 to 3/4 out with the middle closed, then play with it from there.
