i have a 09 sj that will be getting a pair this winter and dont know what to get? i have 24 7s in my o2 but good luck getting them any more lol. iam 59 and rock a size 9 or 10 depending on the shoe. what do you think?

I don't have them yet, but I plan on getting the WDK holds with retainers. They claim to be made so not to interfere with the exhaust and hold near the ankle vs the top of the foot, reducing the fatigue.
It could all be BS, but those claims and the price made me lean that direction.

I like WCF........I would really like to try Tom21's holds though. They are a little taller so you can fit the 25mm pad inside the holds. PM Tom21 here on the boards.

Yeah, I like my Rev's but need to do some hacking on them to fit the top of my foot better.
The Trinity do look nice too!

What do you modify? I've got a set on the way, so any insight would be appreicated.
Not sure if I have a picture of them anywhere but I took the area over the top of my foot and curved it to fit around my foot better (instead of flat like they come, they had a hard pressure point on the top of my foot that got real sore after a weekend of riding). I opened them up enough so I could put a layer of 1/2" padding on top of my foot. Also on my superjet I had opened up the rears of them to make the back of my tray really wide (feet go in straight instead of duckfooted, Yamaslut has done this also). I really liked the way the XFT footholds contoured to fit your feet (unlike a lot of holds which are flat inside) but didn't want to spend the money so I just modified some REVs, pretty happy with how they turned out.

When I install these, I plan on doing something similar as far as widening the tray. I have a FX 1 and the tray is TINY!!!
When you install them in the back, do you end up moving the back of the gunwales (whats left) forward at all, or is all the way to the back the best place?

I have Wamiltons rickters, dont really like them they are awesome feeling and holding but a little too protusive at the metatarsal area of my foot on stabs etc. They hurt the top of my feet and two others have said the same thing riding my boat. IMO, but in their defense, i never put padding on them cause i wanted it under my feet this time, so there is none on top. I had blowsion kickers, liked em, but not locking enough.
