it's a 2 ft ratchet turning a 12mm bolt .it felt like I was turning it in just to tighten it and it was broke already .

This is a bit of a different point, but no matter what quality wrench you dont want to be using them down at the very bottom of the range. On a PWC engine you really need two wreches. A "10-80" or so and a smaller inch-lb wrench.
If the budget is tight the old open beam pointer type work quite well for occasional use.

To prolong the accuracy of the tool, anytime it is not in use, back the torque setting off all the way. My Craftsman has been great. But if it did break, I bet you could take it to the store and they would do something. Sears rocks!!:headbang:

My old pointer wrench (now broken) is my breaker bar.

Nope ,it's not gauranteed unless you break the handle or something but not the tourque part of the wrench .At least at the Sears near my house :banghead:

I like my craftsman too but they are not covered by the usual lifetime warranty.
There is some sort of warranty but its a couple of months or a year.

I used my craftsmans twice in a year and the second time it broke my exhaust system so I'm not saying all of them are junk but mine was .

Make sure you take the tension off your torque wrench by backing it off to 0 after every use. If you keep it set and store it, the internal spring becomes weak overtime and will give you WAY bad readings.

Also, get them calibrated at least every two years regardless of the amount of use.
