Super Jet What to put around the Head

have a SN with a 701 and a R&D head. The orings are bad and I am replacing them, but there was no gasket other than the orings for the cylinders.
Gasket maker OK to put around the water jacket edges (outside edges of the head) so i tis not metal to metal with the top end.

shouldnt need anything else than the orings. The head might have a orange or other color type of seal (very tiny) that outlines the cylinder alreeady.

Threebond 1211...................use it everywhere except near the o-rings.

Thin coat......not too heavy. Dont block any water passages.

Or that black/blue/copper rtv sealant. You only need to seal the outter edge of the cooling jacket. Don't get any near the orings. This is not optional, you need to use something there.

I have never used anything other than the stock seal that is on there. I have a riva head but im assuming all heads are similar. The stock outer seal does its job well and doesnt need anything else.

Riva Head has an oring for the waterjacket, R&D does not. You use a sealant.

Use 1211 Threebond sealer.
