WHAT THE HELL!!! Pulling SXR Fly..

SXR-FOREVER

Finally Flippin
Hand turned the mag pulling bolt in about an 1/8 - 1/4 of an inch (until I couldn't anymore) and then used a wrench on it, went in another turn or so and SNAP and I fell over my ski.

I look at what happened and my fu**ing mag puller bolt and/or flywheel threads stripped...

Now the bolt is at a slight angle (wasn't before) and pretty much moved freely clock wise & counterclockwise without the bolt screwing in or out..

WHAT THE **** do I do now?!??

I broke the bolt on my crank. Tap the center w/ a punch that is important. then use counter clockwise drill bit w/ the drill turning in reverse ofcoarse. I get lucky the vibration and reverse torque sometimes extracts the broken bolt. If not then you will at least have the hole in the center for your newly purchased extractor bits. thy have a more agressive "bite" than a regular drill bit. Good luck.

i had this happen years ago, on a 750sx motor. ( although i was REALLY applying pressure). i pulled the motor. opened it up, split the cases, pulled the crank. i used a large 3 - jaw gear puller on the flywheel. seems like i was able to somehow get the flywheel tool out 1st though. funny how "strong" i can get, when i really start getting pissed when working on something.

good luck with this one.....
