What the heck is this stuff in my hull?

I am currently cleaning out the hull and this stuff is stubborned but here's what I've noticed after some cleaning...
Does this look like some guys attempt to reinforce the front of the hull? The paint brush style is only in the front underneith the gas tank foam and no where else. The edges are starting to peel and flake off now and makng a mess. Also what the heck are these metal blocks on the right side?

the weights are likely race weights, for keeping the nose down and improving handling on a 'race' boat.

not sure about the brush marks, hard to tell from the photo?

I can understand the picture is hard to tell. I couldn't get anything to come out right. I may try to gently remove this reinforcement because based on the brush marks and bumps through out the whole thing, I can't imagine it's reinforcing much. Maybe even creating high pressure points because the load isn't distributed very well.

I would guess repair before guessing reinforcement. That's unless those hulls are supose to get reinforced.
What's the history?

Well I was thinking repair but the exterior looked normal. Scratched and gouged like any 15 year old stand up but otherwise no problems. I can't imagine the same person doing the inside like that and then making the outside perfect. I had sanded and painted the exterior over the summer and didn't ever notice anything unusual.
As I understand the 750sx could use reinforcing around the handlepoll and pisser area (top half) along with the footwell but not really the nose.

Well I've started trying to remove the fiberglass reinforcement/repair (whatever it is). This is prooving to be much more difficult than I had imagined. Right behind the fuel tank holders it's feathered out so it doesn't look thick but just past the holders it's between 1/4" and 1/2" thick depending on where it is . There's got to be at least 6 layers of fiberglass mat laid in there with pieces of wood laid in the fiberglass at random locations. I guess a 1/2" of fiberglass needed extra reinforcement.

Probably a race boat as mentioned, with weights for handling, and the nose had to be repaired from hitting a log jump too many times/too hard.

Well I guess that makes perfect sense then. I assumed it but never fully knew it. It used to have a 2 bar intake grate and it hooked up great at full throttle with a 15-20 pitch prop. Only problem is it scares the living crap out of me when the back end starts skating around at full speed.

Kaw 750sx hulls came with the stainless bars on the right side to balance them out, so they would float level. The exhaust pipe AND waterbox were on the left.

I'd say that stuff in your hull could be adhesive from a tank pad. Maybe.

the pic is gone now Snowxr,

but they didnt look like anything that was in my stock 750sx?

these were rectangular looking things, not bars really.

it wasnt a kodak moment pic though, so it was hard to tell.

I'm no racer, but I'd think if you're going to add weight to a boat to keep the nose down you'd add it as far forward as you can. That obviously wasn't done here so I am thinking it was for some other reason.

Well so far I've removed around 10 lbs of stuff from the front of that hull. The two metal blocks together weighed 5 lbs. and the fiberglass I've pulled out so far has filled a 5 gal. bucket over halfway. I've gotten about 3/4 of the fiberglass out and now I'm near the very front and it's hard to get the rest because of the angle and the curve of the nose. May just sand the rest and leave it to prevent damage.

Look what I found when stripping mine today, it had a layer of paint hiding all of this.
