dont use silicone, for perm fixes sand and re glass, temp or permanent use 3m 5200 fast or regular cure

Great thanks :)

So, the 3M 5200 sounds like what I'll use for the intake grate :)
It won't rip the glass/clear coat will it... ? If so, then for those type of removalbe pieces what do you suggest?

for anything you'll remove later, use regular exterior silicone. if you want to seal/glue something permanently use 5200. For any kind of fiberglass repairs or reinforcing, use epoxy resin and glass.

Head to your local marine store, its pricy there but the bottle will say marine grade silicone. Or you could head to your local hardware store, go to the caulk section and get a tube of "exterior silicone" then pick white or clear. I think either way is acceptable, i have used both and so far cant tell i difference. I do use the marine grade for items on the exterior of the hull (pump, thru hulls, etc); why exactly i do that... ummm peace of mind maybe? lol

Just go to Home Depot, lowe's ECT and pick up a tube of GE Silicone 2. It will have a gold and black label. It has decent adhesion properties, zero shrink back when curing, it will not yellow, and it remains permanently flexible. It will cost you about $6.00 for a tube that will last forever.

$4.50 at wal-mart :)

I also got some permatex clear silicone too... I think i'm going to take it back though it was $3 for a fraction of the size!!!!
