FX-1 What part would you throw at it first?

I took a clean 61x out of a VXR pro never ran it just checked compression 150 and 148. I put it in a FX1 hull added an ADA head with 35cc dome, Factory pipe, and WetJet intake with a BlackJack 46 SBN.

I emailed Art for recommended jettings and put in what he said:
2.5 needle and Seat
115 Gram Spring
160 Main
130 Pilot

Went to start it and it wouldn't rev out.

So i took a 44 sbn that was jetted to what factory pipe says and got the same thing.

What do peopel think CDI? Stator?

Check your grounds and try it on the water. My blaster used to bounce of the rev limiter like that but ran great on the water.

So i did drop it in the water thinking the same thing. It had the same symptoms and just putted around.

Also the Temp sensor is deleted with the OCD kit.

Make sure your flywheel key is still in place and check your stator. Probably wouldn't hurt to throw a new cdi at it too.

So i replaced the CDI with the one out of the WetJet and it acted the same.

So I pulled the motor opened the flywheel cover and oil came out. Looks like there is oil in that area.

I am guessing the stator is shot and causing it to run funny.

Sounds like you need to leak test your crank seals if you are getting oil in the flywheel area. JETTLab Products sells leak test kits

PS: You can ohm a stator and verify. Get a manual and start checking.
 
Try a CDI without a rev limiter,( MSD), we all had similar symptoms when goin to B pipe,especially if you have stock pump.
