What octane gas is suppose to run in a stock 701 sj?

If it is stock with no mods you can run 87 but I always ran 93 to avoid any chance of detonation. I think the stock compression was about 130 which is pretty lame. Go ahead and get a B pipe and a ADA head and get it up to aroung 180 comp. You can still run 93 octane and get hella more power.

Stock compression is 150psi - anything but 87 octane (with stock ignition) is a waste of money.
