What motor?

I presently have a Blaster with a 760 (62t / 64x) motor with all the bolt on goodies, FP, TBM flywheel, OEM 44's, Enhancer, ADA head, Carbon reeds, Solas impeller.

I ride the waves only with it and I'm looking for more power... That being said, what do you wave guys run as a setup and how do you like it?

Thanks,
Sneds

Pull the carbon reeds and put in some v-force for a start. The stock flywheel is very heavy so try and get a rad one or get zero to lighten that one. what compression is it cranking now. get hold of a ignitech and make a decent curve for it. The stock exhaust is not a bad thing as far as what else is out there.

I have a couple small bore strokers that wont break the bank. i have a 771 stroker (5mil crank 82mm bore) and a 801 stroker (6mil crank 83mm bore) both can run on the same carbs you have or 49mms and anything inbetween depending on what youd like to spend. they are both billet ADA/ABLE cylinders. the 771 is a bridged cylinder built by Tim Judge and the 801 was built by LPW. best braap for your buck, PM me if youre interested.

My budget would be about $1000-3000 plus the cash from my motor. I could spend more, but I don't want to end up with a $10k Blaster I can't sell in the future. I would obviously like to spend as least as possible and have an extremely fun ski to ride. Don't get me wrong, my 760 it fun but I would like more Brapppp. I was thinking a BB motor or even step up as far as an PHP898 (which I know is about $5k). I was just looking to see what everyone else runs in these things and get some ideas and feedback.

Thanks.

Sounds like you need a triple conversion. Relatively low dollar, high reliability.

Meh the tripple is definitely powerful and reliable but not exactly cheap after buying the complete motor and electronics plus the conversion parts. You are adding an extra 40lbs to an already heavy blaster which is fine for most blaster riders but not the best for surf and Freeride IMO. A big bore 771 in a blaster is fun while still being cheap and reliable. Or run a stroker for great power. Reliability will remain while running good oil, proper jetting and stock flame arresters for minimal water ingestion.

I've been on an 1100 triple conversion before and although it has lots of power and is a lot of fun to ride, I find it too heavy for my liking (my personal opinion). I would prefer to stick with a lightweight solution.

Get a hold of Zack at PHP. We have put some smaller motors in some blasters and they rip! Or you could go with the 898......that would be killer! Anyways hit him up, he's a genius and can definitely point you in the right direction.
