I was just wondering what kind of reeds come with a 650 superjet? I took them apart and noticed they are fiberglass. Is that suppoes to be stock reeds?

So here is my other question. I purchase reeds and cages from a seller on ebay, it was suppose to be carbon fiber reeds. But what came in was cages with half carbon and half ss. So I wasnet to happy. The new cages are for a 62t 701. When I pulled my 650's cages and reeds I noticed they were fiberglass. So here is my big question. Can I run half fglass and half carbon on my 701

Why are you against running the plastic ones?
They will work just fine on your setup and as another member said..if they do break then they won't trash your motor when they go flying through it.
Carbon fiber and metal ones don't give..if they break then expect some carnage.

No, 650 reeds are smaller
Threadjack - I have a set of 650 composite reeds if anyone is interested - used for only one season and I have no use for them now that I sold my square
