Thanks man....can you tell me how it works? I am guessing its discharging out the back?

It goes from there UP above the water line your ski floats in and then back DOWN to the through hull fitting so it cant start a siphon back into the hull and sink it. On the reduction nozzle the pump pressure causes suction as the water passes the fitting. Some people delete it all together and use the through hull fitting for dual cooling. They work pretty good when kept clean.

Correct, it is connected to the pump. Water is drawn out by Vacuum created by the pump, under acceleration.
