300/440/550 What is this? (oil fill plug???)

I just bought a 1994 550SX, and doing the final prep work for it's first voyage, and was wondering that this was? It looks like a dipstick like on a lawn mower, but it has no dip stick attached to it when I unscrewed it? I can't see any oil down in it, however there is a little bit at the bottom, because I stuck a zip tie down in it and when I pulled it back out, it had a little bit of oil on the end of it? What should it be filled with if anything, and where should the level be at.

Hold On Do Not Fill With Oil Your Stator and flywheel are inside the cover and if you fill with oil it will not run the little bit of oil in the bottom is probably from the front seal. That plug is used to tell if your seals are bad if after you have ran it for a while and you unscrew it and you hear alot of air bleed out then it might be time to reseal the bottom end.
