What is this motor worth??

I have motor out of a running 650SX with a WestCoast head, coffmans pipe and duel carbs. Could you all give me a idea of what I should ask for it??

Demand is low and technology is old. West Coast is gone, Mikuni stopped the "BN" carb long ago and the Coffmans "cut to tune pipe" well, there are better. If you can find the right buyer that loves his 650, x2 or someone with a conversion plate for a js 400, 440 or 550 then I would guess maybe $800 with electrics.

Really your best bet would be to break it up and sell the head,intakes,electrics and pipe seperatly,then get a stock head put back on it and sell the engine.

I'll give you $ for the engine. You can keep the pipe, carbs, starter, brd plate and w/e.

Thing is... you can go buy a whole 650SX for $500-$600. After market parts don't make them worth much more. Usually those skis are worth more dead than alive. Sad to say. I like vintage, but I don't blame the guys running the bigger badder stuff.

the last 650 engine i sold on ebay went for $250 was just the shortblock. the pipe is probably worth anywhere from $150-$200 carbs probaly $75 since there bn.head $50-$75 i would say $500 complete probably better to break it down.

break down everything but leave the head on it and sell it to me. hehe.

I maybe wrong, but the block might be worth more together. The head might be worth $75 but if you pull it apart and find a stock crank and flywheel, then you might get $50 for the rest of the engine.

Otherwise I would agree.

yeah i meant sell the engine as a short block, (cases,crank,cylinder,pistons,head) just sell the aftermarket parts seperately

That is the same ski. It does say have you been licked today on the nose....covered it up with a sticker though. Not the same power plant.....highly modifed now...very fast...

Yes it has the backwards footprints. I will run it next season as is. I had to cover the "HAVE YOU BEEN LICKED LATELY", my kids kept askin what it meant. Here is the motor in it now. It is my bouy ski.:bananalama:
