what is the waterbox for?

is there any difference in using a water box or not? because I saw that my water box can't clean sometimes and the jet chokes???

is a tigerjet hull + oem superjet waterbox

Use a waterbox. It helps prevent water from coming in your engine and provides some sound muffling. We already get enough complaints about our skis being too loud, and straight piped skis are way too loud.

OEM water boxes are great, stick with it. You won't see much of any performance difference with an aftermarket water box generally speaking.

100% correct. No more posts are necessary on this thread. (Including this one from me).

The Baffles sometimes break off in the OE water box and start moving around disrupting the outflow. If you remove the box from the ski and start shaking it to get the water out, after a bit, you may start to hear it rattle... that’s what mine did anyways.... it can be repaired too...

Also you running a flow control valve and restricter to your pipes stinger to regulate how much water your box is getting ?

Some pics might help

It can be something else as well

Like in my buddies case, his ski would load up in slow wakes zones and he swore it was to much water in the pipe and box.... well I isolated it to exhaust smoke back flowing in thru the scupper and choking it in slow wake zones...

Good luck

I don't have any type of valve, in fact I didn't even know it existed, do you have a link to purchase?
'Some pics might help'

* I realize that unlike a superjet, this hull is always with the front raised and maybe difficult to clean

Your water box looks like it’s in upside down and backwards ?.. looks like your b-pipe is hooked to the box’s outlet? looks like box needs to be flipped over left to right.?

I’ll attach a link for a valve
