I got a sss mounted bilge switch but it didn't come with bolts. The oem bolts are too short. I need to order some today and I am at work and can't remember what size they are.

Go to home depot on your way home and pick up some 10-32 bolts. I want to say those are the appropriate size off the top of my head and they are $1 a bag for SS screws. Maybe pick up 1.5" and 2". If you're wrong, you're only out $2 and 5 minutes.

I have good news for you... An M5 screw has the a diameter of 0.190" and a #10 screw has a diameter of 0.197". #10-32 has 32 threads per inch which is 64 threads on a 2 inch screw. An M5x.8 has a pitch of .8mm per thread which over a distance of 2 inches 63.5 threads. That's basically the same thing and for a screw going into plastic, I think you're fine. Maybe on a precision metal on metal, it won't work... Just trying to give you a local route to get these parts as opposed to ordering them.
