what is 1211 ??

Hi everyone
i just purchased a d- plate for my gp1300r and on the instructions they say seal it up with 1211. i am assuming that this is a gasket sealer. i am in australia and never heard of this brand so what i wanna know is can i use any kind of gasket sealer????

1211 is made by threebond

I did a D plate install on an xlt 1200 before and used permetex high temp silicone rtv gasket maker ( copper colored) without any problems.

just use Permatex Clear or Black RTV. Any auto store should have it.

yamabond is 1211's equivilant. maybe you can find that down undah!
