I may just continue to upgrade (and troubleshoot) the engine and wait to deal with the impeller until we see Wax's no or minimal fiberglass work pump upgrade kit for the FX-1
* Anti-Cavitation Additive to the coolant is required for the Ford 7.3L diesel engine for that very reason. Cavitation, in that case caused by air coming out of the anti-freeze coolant on the engine side of the cylinder will scour the sleeve taking off metal completely ruining the engine.
