I would think that if it is a stock head that you should measure the squish and compression and see what it is with a stock type gasket. I know that if the squish is too small then you get deto and your engine goes boom. Some of our more accomplished engine builders can tell you where it should be for your setup. Seems like .045 to .065 rings a bell. I have always liked the Yamaha stock gasket before I had O-ring heads. They are more expensive but seal the best. I never had much luck with a copper setup. Bottom line is run what makes the squish and compression measure up to acceptable ranges.
