i have the regular epoxy resin from uscomposites, i was told this would yellow after time. what type of resin do i need to use on my carbon/kevlar (blue) to have it not discolor?

is this discoloring really that much to worry about?

carbon will be on my handlepole and side reinforcements.

Im preaty sure uscomposites sells an aditive that you add to your resin so it would discolor in the sun. Id check there site for it.

I've used the West Systems white pigment and it worked great .
I used a tube of it for the bottom with no paint .
(I had to order not in stock) it made the resin pure white and didn't make it any harder to work with .

Years later the plain old glass with no paint is still bone white :Banane01:

this is different, not talking about pigment, talking about an additive to protect the epoxy from UV so it doesnt discolor, us composites has a bunch of pigment that has worked great for me as well

so i called us composites about the resin, they said even with the addative it will still discolor after time, it just makes it clearer at first. they didnt talk about compatability though. they suggested just use regular epoxy and then get a UV protectant clear coat and i should be fine.
