Please could anyone tell me what engine is this?? It's marked 63n never heard of this yam engine code before, was wondering is it a 62t case with a 701 61x top end

Sorry for my ignorance so it's 62t cases 61x barrels and 38mm carbs
and a 62t barrel is 760?

760 cylinder is 64x

That is the common opinion, it depends on what your definition of "good" is. It should run well and make decent power, are you looking to replace an existing motor?

I'm replacing a motor a 62t 61x don't think this will do me cause think the exhaust bolt pattern is different for b pipe

bolt pattern is the same, add helicoils to bring bolt size down to 8mm and your good to go. Will it have the same power and responce as your 62t/61x, prob not, will it be bad, prob not. Like Franny said, its not a bad motor but the motor you have now will likely be more desirable for a superjet.

My current motor is ported but need new starter bendix 2 x carb rebuilds and stator. So was thinking buying this new motor and selling old one in parts,
Could the 62t barrels be ported similar to 61x??? Are the pistons the same??

You would be better off buying a new bendix, stator and rebuilding your carbs. You could buy this motor, steal the bendix, carbs and stator and sell the rest off but I can't imagine it is a cost effective option. Yes 62t and 61x cylinders can use the same pistons, assuming the bore is the same.

I think you are making this way more complex than it needs to be, you are looking at under $300 to get your current setup fixed and you would have a ported setup. Why would you want to go backwards and start with something that is not even close to what you already have?
