what else should i do while my topdeck is off

im doin a roundnose conversion i got thetopdeck off and the new fitted.before i put it back togather anyone have any ideas while im this far or any areas to reinforce?
my plan
dual oneways dumped in the pump area
sand all around the bond rail for reinforcement
cut 2in off the rear bottom and put on an angle.
any other ideas?

install trim tube

remove and re-seal exhaust tube ( im guessing you already removed it though)

nows a good time to consider changing the threaded inserts for the plate, grate and pump if any are stripped or boogered up.

one ways dumping into the pump cavity is an interesting idea. they shouldnt break from impact. but if they do fail for any other reason, make sure you can remove the inards through the bilge. also install the holes in the pump cavity to where you can install scupper later if necessary.

I got a question (SFL or anyone else).... I see people install various sizes of trim tubes, steering tubes, etc. How do you seal them up? I know how the factory steering tube works, but what about others?

are you talking about sealing the tube throughthe hull or sealing the cable through the tube?

I'm talking about sealing the tube on the pump side. What keeps water from coming in when you put a trim cable for instance through it?

I use nylon liquid tight cord grip fitting from McMaster Carr on the end of my 1/2" PVC tube to hold the trim cable inside the engine bay.

No seal on pump side.

i am gonna run a cap on the pvc then do something similar like the stock fitting if i ever run trim. hole through cap.

I do plan to be able to put scupperflaps on if my oneways start to leak.i have my rear ex tube out and am gonna run my trim cable.i read about moving the steering cable to prevent it binding when i got the trim pulled anyone have any info in this.also i want to post pics can someone help me out on how to post them i can e mail them but dont know how to get them on here and would like to because im building this ski myself i built the mold for my topdeck and built the topdeck
