Those of you who where there and want to see something written about the ride in AWA's RIDE magazine, write up something here and I will redirect the editor in charge to this thread to pick up the info.

So whatever you write up, do it in nice quoteable sentences and leave a contact email so he can get your name if he quotes you. If you just want to provide general information from the list below, feel free to remain anonymous.

He needs a list of notable riders who where there, a nice description of how the weather was (obviously Saturday looks rough but then it cleared up), and whatever notable events (tricks, dinners, bonfires, nightlife, etc) that should be included.

From myself, I would like to personally invite any jetskier who hasn't yet been to one of these ride to check out the next one here at www.x-h2o.com and load up their ski and get there. It's a easy way to meet new people, make new friends, and just have a great time with like-minded enthusiasts. Everybody's approachable, especially the pros and skilled amateurs who attend. And be sure to stick around for when the sun goes down!

Arriving departing the ferry on a sunny Thursday afternoon, we were glad to finnally being on Galveston Island. The 15 hour trip from Kansas City, MO was a long drive, but looked to be well worth it. We surveyed out the area and found the general riding area. After staking our ground we were met by Butch (I believe) that greeded us to the ride. Finally, it was on.

Forced out of the water on Thurdsday by Dr.'s orders we had time to meet several people that were arriving througout the afternoon. As expected there were many familiar people arriving from X-h20.com and RiotRadio.com Although we didnt know many personally, several people made us feel welcome.

After a "saftety meeting" with Nick, and some ski repairs we hit the water on Friday afternoon. For a first time salt water rider, I had alot to learn. Mainly, dont land your ski on the sand bar about 40 feet out. We rode for over 2 hrs that day and had an absolute blast. While my stock SXR is no freestyle machine, I had a good time playing with what I could handle.

Other riders (*your name here for paypal donation*) made for some good entertainment. Backfilps, barrelrolls, and other cool stunts were pretty entertaining to watch while riding.

Saturday was like being in a blasting cabinet. The wind was strong, the sand was chafing, and the surf was rough. It was about noon that skiis were getting put in. That didnt stop many riders from throwing down though. Many other riders were showing up and putting in. Although there wasnt much refuge from the weather, people rode most of the day.

We had to leave very early on Sunday morning to beat a snow storm in Kansas City.

Thanks, Jeremy. That helps a lot. How bad were the winds on Saturday do you think? 45 mph and in the mid 60's? It warmed up and calmed down a lot on Sunday. I know that most of us were not going to be deterred by a little wind after last fall's ride was cancelled by Hurricane Rita.
