Hello, this is my first post, although I've reading along for a couple of months, and riding stand ups for over ten years.

I've been bummed ever since I sold my roundnose. Especially now that I live two miles from the ocean.

So I've been thinking on getting a square to explore the ICWW/Ocean with.

Is it possible that a '91 square came with a 701?

How can I tell by looking if it really is a 701?

Was there a single carb 701?

I think the 650 is a 6m6 case.

Is it stamped any where?

I talked to the seller on the phone seemed like a decent guy.

He offer to put it together with a honed/used cylinder for an extra $200.

Any and all opinions appreciated.

91 came with a 650.

a 61x is a single carb 701. someone could have swaped a 701 in there easily

look at the head or side of the cylinder. if it says 61x or 62t it is a 701. if it says 6m6 it's a 650.

$650 with the honed cylinders and new pistons.

Done deal.

Gonna pick it up next week.

Hopefully it's not too soggy and I can ride it as is for a bit.

After a couple months of reading this forum, I've come to realize that squares are kinda cool.

They bear a startling resemblance to my vaccuum cleaner.

I'm so happy to have another superjet!

Can't wait to get this ugly duckling home.

If only I kept my b-pipe from my last ski.

ags,

I live in Wilmington. I moved here from NY a year ago.

I haven't ridden at all since I've been here.

Because I sold my RN right before I got here.

I've been out on boats a few times last summer.

That was when I decided I had to get another superjet.

How's the riding up in Emerald Isle?

I know a girl who just moved there with a couch.

Gonna check it out this summer.

Emerald Isle is nice, pretty much all couch riders in the InterCoastal waterway. But there are some nice yact wakes that will launch a superjet.
Bogue Inlet between emerald isle and bear island has some huge waves if you're feeling lucky.

There is another guy on the X (scott626_2004) that lives and wilmington and rides there and up at emerald isle. We should meet up somewhere to ride in the spring, no standup riders around here. I've got two squarenoses and an X-2.
