I dont know all the numbers that everyone is always talking about. I know it represents what motor and head but dont know which each stands for. Please let the SJ newb know. :puppy_dog_eyes:

Think of them as different model numbers for engine components. We know what they mean due to experience/use. (Like Motorola - e815).

6m6 - Used on the 650 model superjets
61x - used on the first (single carb) 701cc superjets.
62t - used on the 96 - 07 (dual carb) superjets.

It is implied when you reference the model, you are referring to the cases. You can have 61x or 62t cylinders, but most riders have 61x cylinders.

There are three styles of cases that were used in the SJ over the years.

90 - 93 had 650cc with 6m6 cases & 6m6 cyl, single 44mm carb
94 - 95 had 701cc with 61x cases & 61x cyl, single 44mm carb
96 - 07 have 701cc with 62t cases & 61x cyl, dual 38mm carbs

Full story.
