We have a what did you fab up today thread and a what does your view look like today thread , so I figured why the hell not , I mean I f*&^ up a lot of stuff and as Jelly Roll says I know I can't be the only one !

I f&&%$# up a perfectly good Wavejammer handlepole today , I was moving my five place stand up trailer with the Jammer on the very back , tires were almost flat , I was backing up and heard something disturbing so I stopped , it was too late , a bunk board had broken, I am not sure the exact sequence of events that happened but something caught on something else and broke the bunk board from what I can tell , at any rate the Jammer fell off and flipped upside down, the noise that I heard was the trailer hitting the bottom of the Jammer which did not cause damage to the bottom but the handlepole is trashed and snapped in two.

I say it's trashed but I guess my choices are pony up $240.00 for the one on Ebay now or take a stab at fixing this one, I think we both know what I am about to do here don't we ?

I will post some pics later today of the damage but it's going to be a minute till I get around to repairing this one fo sho .

Yesterday my daughter sent these to me... this the same Grand Cherokee we bought last year that the AC keeps going out. She was dropping it off yesterday after this Dr Appointment in Birmingham... there a good chance we are going to get dealer to buy it back... then I get this....... believe it or not, did not make contact with the column..... Blew a tire on the chicken trailer in the middle of nowhere. Luckily I brought spares and tools just in case. Got back on the road in about 20 minutes! Then had a great weekend until my poopy blue fuel lines gave up and split on the black chicken. Already replacing it with black OEM line from @JetManiac

We’ve been having a lot of those coming in with leaking evaporator cores, leaking the Freon out.

That already been replaced right before we got it. AC Comes back on. You can turn off everything and turn back on and it will usually come right back.
Apr. 2024. Replaced everything under the hood. (2 weeks after purchase - 2021 GC Summit)
May - July/Aug, Just tried to get to replicate at dealer. (They would drive it 15 miles), Time and time again I told them, drive it for an hour and it will go out..... Everytime I drove it for a hour straight it would go out.
Sept. Finally they agreed to replace the Head Unit (Control Unit). Thought this got it.
April. Goes out again first really warm day on a longer drive........ Take back in, Replace Lower Control Unit and the Humidity Sensor. (Been asking to have this replaced to just see - It smells like a wet dog right before it goes out)....... Did Take it on an hour drive out of town same day we picked it back up. No Issues, thought it just may be fixed. Then Monday it goes out........ Plus my wife tried to "F..... up the bumper same day"........ They gave us a 25 GC Limited that is just about as nice as her Summit minus the Hemi and Vent Seats......... Got a feeling we may end up just getting them to make us a great deal on this one.

I'm too old and not poor enough to be irresponsible. The tires I've been using came with the trailer when I bought it almost 10 years ago. Had a fun lunch break shopping trip at Northern Tool today. At least now I know the speed rating of my tires, 81mph!

I still do some onsite repairs for long term customers , today I went up to the lake to Summerize a 2007 4 TEC and replace a wear ring , easy peasy right, well maybe .

On a ski with a plastic pump yeah , no problem , in and out, I forgot the 2007 still had a Aluminum pump , on an Aluminum pump , not so easy ,, it doesn't come out of the pump easily and it damn sure does no want to go back in the pump.

Usually I would freeze the wear ring overnight and make a slight taper on it so it will start back into the housing , on site that isn't an option and I didn't have a grinder and flap disc or a belt sander with me today to taper the wear ring with.

What I had available to work with was a cordless drill , a hole saw , a small sanding drum and a concrete cinder block , I knawed it down for lack of a better term with the drill and the hole saw , then worked the taper down with the concrete block and somewhat smoothed it off with the sanding drum, eventually I got it tapered enough to get it started back into the housing and hammered it in with the deadblow mallet.

Then I put the pump back on , one small problem , when I started putting up the tools I found the rubber pump seal in side of my impact case , you know what that means pull it all back off, fit the seal to the pump and put it all back together , again , what a day !.

Not my finest work or finest hour but GIT ER DUN !
