Wetjet 46 mm Carb Clarification

I was unable to readily find this info, but now have the experience to back it so I will make it easy on the next person. 95 and up Wetjets have 61x Yami motors (ready to throw into pre-94 model SJs) and either have the 44 mm or the 46 mm SBN carbs and the way to easily tell the difference by just looking (not actually ripping into it and micing) is the stamping on the intake manifold. The 44 mm has the 61x stamping with torque specs and sequence like any Yami manifold. This is found on the Duo 300 and ZX models. The 46 mm has "Wetjet" stamped on it and is found on the Kraze VLS model (that is what the VLS indicates). The Wetjet intake has the built in reed stuffers as well. Sorry if this was already covered somewhere but I couldn't find it. I have now owned both the Kraze and the Duo 300 and for all the bad press they really are fun skis especially when they can be had for $200 to $400 like mine.

I bought a kraze for $300 but can't find enough time to get it to the water to ride it. Are they loose and like to slide around? They don't have any chines just a slick hull. It looks like it would be fun

They actually grab the corners better than my old Kaw 900 ZXI, but it might just be that the ZXI could get going 55 mph and the Wetjets do much less. They are pretty light (350 lbs), so you can throw them around and at WOT they do some pretty good 360s. I am not able to enjoy these skis any more as the Duo 300 motor is pulled and going into my 650 SJ in the next couple weeks and the Kraze intake/carb are going on that motor (the Kraze motor is seized now, so it is getting parted too). I thought about throwing the 650 in the Kraze, but don't want to take the time when I have a 4 month old baby to attend to. Enjoy your budget ski; you can enjoy the water alot more when you still have beer (and gas) money in your pocket.
