Looking at going dry this summer and i have a few questions.

First i had the wet pipe on and i was running the ADA head with 28cc domes now with the dry will i need to get differnt domes? The motor is stock other then the timming advance and the additon of the soon to be dry pipe. I know i will need to prob re-jet my carbs and thats not really a problem just wondering more about the domes.

:feedback: Well anyone running a dry pipe have any advise on what domes to run? I'd still like to be on pump gas 93 octane. Might add a light weight flywheel sometime this summer to.

I would say that the exhaust temperature "should" increase when using a dry pipe. This "might" be a problem if you run very high compression with it. I am not sure if 28 cc would be called "high", I am a Superjet rider, so....

Are you gonna be ricing ? becouse dry pipe is for ricing, for top speed. I had one but for surf or freestyle or just goofing around wet pipe is better.
And another thing. You will need girdle head to run with dry pipe.

Yea i wil lwatch my compression and temps the first few times. I also will be carefull not to run WOT for extended periods of time.

No i wont be racing, i know that people say the dry is more for racing but after riding kx454's ski last year with it i was sold and just out of luck i can trade my wet for the dry pipe straight up. I also wanna add a light weight flywheel to the combo sometime this summer and as for a girdle head, im covered i have the ADA head and the girdle kit is on its way ot my house right now :bananalama: After having the wet for 2 summers i wanna see about the dry. Not to mention when i do tail stands and stuff i get water backed up throught the exhaust and i know that kx 454 had the same promblem wet and after he got his dry pipe proplem solved.

not much will change other than the jets and when the power band comes in with the right prop dry pipes kick a$$ with the power band being higher

Hmm, just read over this thread. You might need a different prop with a dry pipe, what are you currently running for a prop?

Dome size will not matter. 28cc is completely safe. You can get much much smaller if you so choose.

I wasn't sure a stock prop would work, I have never tried, but I don't see why it wouldn't. Sometimes you have to change if you already have a prop for a different setup. There are many other pops that would work alot better than stock on a limited setup

Stock prop works fine on limited running stock carbs. Should be taching about 7300-7350with a 80 nozzle. I ran that set up back in 03 & 04
